Changed to 590.0 Humidity was too high at the start of the night. We had a slew of problems to start the night. I rebooted OBS1 and the user drives didn't remount. Jon fixed that. Then the instruments didn't want to auto connect to the hub (Fritz restarted the hub earlier in the day). I had to restart the Echelle slitviewer computer (wouldn't connect). THen NICFPS wouldn't connect. Then I couldn't access export/images. Jon fixed that one. Then calibrating DIS High Red was a lot of fun at 6280A and took a little longer than usual. THen I had a Sec piston error and lost all mirror status mount info for the secondary. We homed the secondary and found the D actuator then acting up. Nick came in and we messed with the D linear actualtor and got it working. We also foound the temperature sensor on the secondary coming off. Nick will fix it later. NICFPS still wouldn't connect to the hub (well, it looks like I got status info but I couldn't take an exposure without it hanging). I believe it lost connection to the NFS server (probably from some problems we had earlier with things not getting mounted correctly). I restarted the NICFPS ICS computer to get it to re-connect and then actually checked to see that it did (using the wiki page notes that Gabrelle wrote for rebooting the ICS). That seemed to fix the problem. I think that fixed all the problems I had in the first 6 hrs tonight. Luckily we were closed due to weather so no time was lost. We gave up at 05:00 when the humidity once again went over the limits. it had been borderline for the previous hour. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions --------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 43 36 24 249 (WSW) 1816 clear none 17:00 39 35 22 222 (SW) 1950 clear humid 18:00 38 35 25 232 (SW) 2119 clear humid 19:00 38 37 20 250 (WSW) 2497 cldy humid 20:00 38 37 19 238 (WSW) 2423 cldy humid 21:00 36 36 16 255 (WSW) 1997 cldy fog 22:00 35 35 19 241 (WSW) 29976 cldy fog 23:00 35 35 13 301 (WNW) 40700 cldy fog 00:00 34 33 21 247 (WSW) 1552 cldy humid 01:00 34 32 11 287 (WNW) 1648 cldy humid 02:00 33 32 12 195 (SSW) 1664 cldy humid 03:00 33 31 11 237 (WSW) 1588 clear humid 04:00 34 28 17 187 (S) 1332 Pt.
