Rather poor seeing second half due to strong winds from the east. At 04:40 wind speeds became to high to stay open. We closed and did not reopen. When I was closing for the weather I noticed that the ion pumps for Nicfps and DIS Blue Camera were both pegged. Both cameras had started a warming cycle. I was able to return temps for each instrument so they were back in the normal ranges however both still remained high. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:40 dis-slit -93(-344) 56 69 -1.7 0.9 0.3 0.0 -1.0 - 1.40 22:32 ECHELLE 32(-1253) -36 75 -3.5 -3.7 -2.4 -4.1 -3.7 nd2 2.20 00:29 NICFPS 22( -13) -97 70 -4.6 -4.8 -4.3 -5.1 -4.8 Ks 1.90 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions --------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 31 2 5 14 (NNE) 223 clear none 17:00 29 7 12 1 (N) 234 clear none 18:00 29 10 24 357 (N) 200 clear none 19:00 28 9 8 0 (N) 237 clear none 20:00 28 10 2 318 (NW) 265 clear none 21:00 26 9 18 346 (NNW) 221 clear none 22:00 26 10 11 43 (NE) 229 clear none 23:00 25 9 25 7 (N) 321 clear none 00:00 23 9 27 23 (NNE) 301 clear none 01:00 25 -4 30 26 (NNE) 146 clear none 02:00 25 -10 31 26 (NNE) 119 clear none 03:00 24 -3 23 28 (NNE) 142 clear none 04:00 23 0 32 26 (NNE) 153 clear none 05:00 23 0 30 21 (NNE) 230 clear none 06:00 21 3 29 24 (NNE) 196 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
