The numbers in the focus log are a minimum; seeing was over 2 arcseconds at times. The telescope and instruments generally behaved well. There were some elongated images during a very high northern transit with NIC-FPS, but windshake probably contributed to this. There were also some larger-than usual magnesensor errors from azimuth (in the range 15-25 arcsec), so the drive might want to be cleaned or adjusted. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:14 NICFPS -122( 222) 184 62 1.1 0.9 0.9 0.2 0.6 Ks 0.96 00:11 ECHELLE -110(-1107) 227 57 0.1 -0.1 0.2 -0.4 0.1 ND3 0.92 02:19 dis-slit -80( -299) 120 58 0.1 -0.6 -0.1 -0.9 -0.4 - 1.01 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 35 10 13 271 (W) 165 clear none 17:00 34 11 9 255 (WSW) 168 clear none 18:00 33 11 10 266 (W) 183 clear none 19:00 32 11 11 273 (W) 376 clear none 20:00 33 12 7 263 (W) 252 clear none 21:00 33 11 14 264 (W) 243 clear none 22:00 33 11 20 285 (WNW) 228 clear none 23:00 33 12 19 287 (WNW) 327 clear none 00:00 33 13 22 286 (WNW) 374 clear none 01:00 32 14 18 280 (W) 443 clear none 02:00 31 14 26 297 (WNW) 553 clear none 03:00 31 13 21 300 (WNW) 540 clear none 04:00 31 12 17 301 (WNW) 534 clear none 05:00 30 12 17 292 (WNW) 510 clear none 06:00 30 11 14 321 (NW) 572 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
