Continued training with Jeff Coughlin. Second half observer was a no show. We then setup hoping to get some characterization done for AGILE. Jeff connected to nimble successfully. We went up to mount AGILE on the telescope and I managed to snap one of the corners of the faceplate off where it attaches beneath the latches on to the telescope. We continued taking data with 3 latches holding AGILE on the telescope. We were able to get some characterization data for AGILE in B, R and I filters. Then we switched back to DIS for some pickup time for JH03. When we got on-sky it seemed control-click was not making the correct offsets on the slitviewer. We think it may have something to do with the TUI menus on Newton showing up in strange places. We struggled trying to figure out this problem as clouds rolled in. Completely overcast rest of night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 38 -8 15 337 (NNW) 107 mstly cldy none 17:00 36 -11 14 352 (N) 92 mstly cldy none 18:00 38 -7 8 352 (N) 165 mstly cldy none 19:00 38 -8 10 344 (NNW) 98 mstly cldy none 20:00 35 -9 12 340 (NNW) 233 mstly cldy none 21:00 38 -6 11 353 (N) 125 mstly cldy none 22:00 38 -5 11 295 (WNW) 99 mstly cldy none 23:00 38 -6 5 271 (W) 84 mstly cldy none 00:00 37 -7 10 227 (SW) 114 mstly cldy none 01:00 36 -7 11 210 (SSW) 106 mstly clr none 02:00 37 -7 13 228 (SW) 87 clear none 03:00 36 -9 12 228 (SW) 130 ptly cldy none 04:00 35 -11 12 231 (SW) 118 cloudy none 05:00 36 6 14 259 (W) 118 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
