We got about two inches of snow at the site, most of it light powder but some slushy stuff at the bottom. I'm not sure whether it will all get off the dome without assistance. We ran the snow program (mostly after the snow fell since we weren't expecting that much -- but wind was still strong while it was running). Roof heaters were not turned on since air temps were well below freezing. Telescope will be left parked facing south. The tcc was complaining about not being able to talk to the gmech (LTA6). We tried several fixes without luck, then Jeff suggested power cycling the gmech controller -- we unplugged and replugged all the stuff on that box, and it came back up happy. Around 1ish, the DIS blue ion pump spiked up to around 250. It came down slowly but steadily for the next few hours. Temperature did not warm significantly. It's probably okay but will bear some watching. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVPA) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 26 14 23 263 (W) 592 ptly cldy none 17:00 23 14 34 259 (W) 517 mstly clr none 18:00 20 15 30 288 (WNW) 605 cloudy none 19:00 16 15 12 332 (NNW) 6297 cloudy humid 20:00 14 13 11 10 (N) 1159 cloudy lt snow 21:00 13 12 20 316 (NW) 1031 cloudy snow 22:00 13 11 18 354 (N) 362 cloudy snow 23:00 12 9 12 333 (NNW) 418 cloudy none 00:00 11 8 19 328 (NNW) 464 cloudy none 01:00 10 6 13 351 (N) 626 cloudy none 02:00 8 4 14 356 (N) 528 cloudy none 03:00 7 4 24 19 (NNE) 760 cloudy none 04:00 7 4 6 294 (WNW) 505 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
