The first half observer did not feel the data from their occulatation was useful due to the cloud cover so he called it a night at 1900. This gave Russet and myself time to do some engineering tests on the tertiary rotation. We started to convince ourselves that the failures were somehow related to wether or not collimation was enabled or diabled during a move. However this conclusion was later called into question during the move at midnight. So the problem is still not well understood. At 20:00 the second half Agile user happened to log in early and we offered them the remainder of NM06's time. This went rather smoothly until around 0420 when clouds became too thick to see the users target and with little expectations that conditions would improve we called it a night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 17:55 AGILE -349( -515) 18 49 4.3 5.0 5.0 4.2 4.2 I 3.40 18:09 NA2gdr -1789(11311) 13 50 4.3 4.7 4.8 4.1 4.2 R+nd2 1.20 21:49 AGILE -374( -639) -14 77 3.9 3.3 3.7 3.1 3.6 I 0.52 21:57 NA2gdr -2813(10286) -20 75 3.8 3.3 3.7 3.2 3.7 R+nd2 1.10 00:22 APOLLO -74( 664) 95 51 3.2 2.9 3.3 2.5 2.9 - 2.00 00:43 APOLLO -49( 693) 88 51 3.3 3.0 3.3 2.5 3.1 - 1.70 01:13 AGILE -324( -592) 136 60 3.4 2.9 3.3 2.6 3.1 I 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 41 21 16 246 (WSW) 597 mstly cldy none 17:00 39 20 10 239 (WSW) 561 mstly cldy none 18:00 40 17 12 267 (W) 448 mstly cldy none 19:00 39 17 18 252 (WSW) 966 mstly cldy none 20:00 39 8 16 244 (WSW) 441 mstly cldy none 21:00 38 14 17 229 (SW) 305 mstly cldy none 22:00 39 15 15 258 (WSW) 183 mstly cldy none 23:00 38 12 13 259 (W) 242 mstly cldy none 00:00 39 12 9 261 (W) 217 mstly cldy none 01:00 38 13 24 268 (W) 258 mstly cldy none 02:00 37 18 20 264 (W) 314 mstly cldy none 03:00 38 17 18 272 (W) 262 mstly cldy none 04:00 38 15 19 266 (W) 254 cloudy none 05:00 37 17 12 256 (WSW) 264 cloudy none 06:00 40 12 15 272 (W) 212 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
