A nice clear night with good to moderate seeing (possibly over 1.5 arcseconds second half; it was hard to tell because of faint targets at high airmass). APOLLO got record returns. NIC-FPS behaved well. There was one bad magnesensor crossing that took a few minutes to identify and fix. Three times an axis init failed due to BadAltDTime, but there weren't many BadAxisDTimes aside from the inits. The second init attempt was always successful. A pinch-hit program rounded off the night after all the SN targets had set. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UC03 N T/H 21:30 21:36 bad alt magnesensor crossing ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 50 21 2 86 (E) 619 clear none 17:00 49 20 5 3 (N) 404 clear none 18:00 51 16 13 19 (NNE) 293 clear none 19:00 51 9 8 30 (NNE) 168 clear none 20:00 51 6 11 34 (NE) 97 clear none 21:00 51 10 14 22 (NNE) 229 clear none 22:00 50 11 17 19 (NNE) 208 clear none 23:00 51 6 18 35 (NE) 195 clear none 00:00 51 5 11 39 (NE) 80 clear none 01:00 50 4 13 29 (NNE) 49 clear none 02:00 50 5 15 26 (NNE) 136 clear none 03:00 48 6 9 26 (NNE) 280 clear none 04:00 50 10 12 15 (NNE) 308 clear none 05:00 50 8 16 23 (NNE) 253 clear none 06:00 50 7 8 29 (NNE) 225 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
