Was 586. Measured 587.64, 592.1 Avg 589.8 No change made. First half went smoothly tonight with good seeing. No evidence of the trailing problems seen the night before. Second half had moderate to good seeing. The telescope was not used from 02:30 to 03:00 while I attended to a medical emergency on site. The dis slitviewer was actuing perculiar for about 15 minutes (see dcam/UT071102/proc-d0[540-622]). The images were not being displayed or blank. I restarted the camera drivers and guide software in the hub twice before the problem was corrected. One 15 minute science exposure was lost due to poor guiding. The second half ended a little early because I ran out of scheduled targets because several were too low (and faint) to observe. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UC01 D I/SH 03:15 03:45 slitviewer displayed blank frames ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 18:56 ECHELLE -135(-763) 82 78 6.7 8.7 8.3 7.3 7.0 nd2 1.4 20:35 SPICAM -101( 137) -85 74 6.8 6.7 7.1 5.8 6.5 i 0.8 20:39 NA2gdr -2173(29926) -87 71 6.8 6.7 7.1 5.8 6.6 R+nd2 0.7 22:16 dis-slit -124( -42) -118 46 6.5 6.0 6.5 5.1 5.9 - 1.2 01:20 dis-slit -63( 44) 295 25 6.8 5.9 6.4 5.4 6.3 - 1.1 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 51 26 8 216 (SW) 2517 clear none 17:00 49 24 9 196 (SSW) 2257 clear none 18:00 45 24 12 213 (SSW) 2201 clear none 19:00 44 24 13 230 (SW) 2004 clear none 20:00 44 24 11 213 (SSW) 2347 clear none 21:00 44 24 12 208 (SSW) 2395 clear none 22:00 44 26 13 229 (SW) 2756 clear none 23:00 43 27 9 247 (WSW) 3084 clear none 00:00 43 25 7 207 (SSW) 2979 mstly clr none 01:00 45 22 12 271 (W) 2446 mstly clr none 02:00 44 23 9 286 (WNW) 2668 mstly clr none 03:00 45 21 12 303 (WNW) 2227 mstly clr none 04:00 46 19 8 323 (NW) 1993 mstly clr none 05:00 46 20 13 324 (NW) 1817 mstly clr none 06:00 47 17 14 305 (NW) 1695 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
