I was going to do a pointing model, but didn't really have enough time. Seeing was also fairly poor at 2-3 arc sec. I also noticed lots of problems with Telmech tonight. lots of failures when I would press buttons to control lights, fans, etc. This seem to have started a few days ago when we filled the hard drive/power outages due to wind, but may be getting worse. I told Fritz about it yesterday afternoon as well. Not sure if it is just not updating, but I was getting several 'invalid literal for int(): xxx' error warnings. I also had to repeated issue telmech status to get the buttons to update (or just check them). Although the night was nice and clear the seeing wasn't too great. Typically 1.8-2.5 arc sec all night long. No problems otherwise. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:03 Echelle -213(-834) 142 50 6.6 8.5 8.3 7.1 7.0 ND3 1.2 00:06 APOLLO -75(761) -31 56 5.6 5.3 5.7 4.6 5.2 -- 2.0 01:19 SPIcam -125(77) 302 32 5.1 4.8 5.2 4.0 4.6 r' 1.8 01:24 NA2gdr 2000() 301 31 4.9 4.8 5.2 4.0 4.7 clear 3.0 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions --------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 50 17 4 193 (SSW) 349 clear none 17:00 50 20 4 255 (WSW) 353 clear none 18:00 47 22 2 92 (E) 260 clear none 19:00 44 22 7 90 (E) 194 clear none 20:00 44 22 16 64 (ENE) 181 clear none 21:00 44 21 12 32 (NNE) 167 clear none 22:00 43 22 16 49 (NE) 161 clear none 23:00 43 22 11 61 (ENE) 145 clear none 00:00 42 23 11 74 (ENE) 138 clear none 01:00 41 24 5 177 (S) 145 clear none 02:00 41 26 0 295 (WNW) 135 clear none 03:00 41 26 7 24 (NNE) 176 clear none 04:00 40 26 1 80 (E) 179 clear none 05:00 39 27 5 152 (SSE) 205 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
