Was 580.0 changed to 590.0 During checkout and then again during evening twilight the ICC for Agile (Nimble) crashed or froze up and required a power reset. No science time was lost. The first few hours of the night had some of the best seeing I have seen in the optical since I have been here hovering between 0.5 and 0.8 arcseconds for several hours. Later during the first half seeing degraded some but still was quite nice. Second half the seeing became quite poor and then settled down again around 3am. Clear skies all night. No other problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 19:49 AGILE -500(-540) 5 64 7.5 8.3 8.2 6.9 7.3 I 0.7 19:58 NA2gdr -5792(7307) 1 63 7.5 8.2 8.1 6.8 7.3 R+nd2 0.6 20:19 AGILE -450(-508) -12 63 7.8 7.9 8.0 6.7 7.4 I 0.5 23:25 AGILE -375(-443) -73 35 7.1 6.8 7.2 5.9 6.6 I 1.1 00:36 dis-slit -164(-92) -84 75 6.7 6.4 6.8 5.6 6.3 - 1.1 02:33 dis-slit -146(-78) -48 47 6.1 5.8 6.3 5.0 5.8 - 1.4 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 53 22 14 260 (W) 632 clear none 17:00 50 20 12 272 (W) 682 clear none 18:00 49 20 9 269 (W) 730 clear none 19:00 45 19 6 271 (W) 742 clear none 20:00 46 18 9 270 (W) 742 clear none 21:00 46 18 12 271 (W) 762 clear none 22:00 46 19 10 202 (SSW) 823 clear none 23:00 45 22 10 185 (S) 1017 clear none 00:00 44 21 8 183 (S) 914 clear none 01:00 44 20 13 176 (S) 1351 clear none 02:00 42 20 10 180 (S) 1208 clear none 03:00 43 21 12 179 (S) 1057 clear none 04:00 43 21 13 179 (S) 979 clear none 05:00 44 18 13 184 (S) 731 clear none 06:00 43 20 10 179 (S) 941 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
