APOLLO got returns but not many, they gave up early because of clouds. The second half observer was having a terrible time with a network connection. Combined with the cloud cover she gave up at 02:30. I offered to take over observations for her due to the huge network lag she was experiencing but she declined my offer. Even after turning off autget and windowing echelle slitviewer images to be quite small, the image backup became so long that she needed to wait 15 minutes between objects for the downloads to catch up so she could slew. The clouds were much to thick at this point to do any useful on sky engineering tasks so I closed. I spent the time developing an auto-emailer for Russet to remind APOLLO spotters. A PR was created for the new NA2gdr focus script in TUI. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:14 dis-slit -163(-373) 286 72 -1.2 1.8 0.1 -0.1 -0.4 - 1.2 18:21 NA2gdr -3492(27607) 287 70 -1.2 1.6 0.0 -0.2 -0.5 R+nd2 0.74 22:35 apollo -25(531) 265 69 -0.3 -0.8 -1.5 -1.2 -0.3 - 1.0 00:17 Echelle -68(-1118) 255 77 -0.4 -0.8 -1.4 -1.2 -0.4 nd2 1.9 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 34 7 ?? 426 mstly cldy none 17:00 32 6 ?? 434 mstly cldy none 18:00 30 3 ?? 444 mstly cldy none 19:00 30 2 ?? 427 mstly cldy none 20:00 28 3 ?? 466 mstly cldy none 21:00 30 2 ?? 451 mstly cldy none 22:00 31 -10 ?? 298 mstly cldy none 23:00 31 -6 ?? 451 mstly cldy none 00:00 31 0 ?? 481 mstly cldy none 01:00 32 0 ?? 716 cloudy none 02:00 32 -3 ?? 606 cloudy none 03:00 31 1 ?? 491 cloudy none 04:00 31 -6 ?? 326 cloudy none 05:00 31 -4 ?? 537 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
