Conditions were too humid to even consider opening all night. The day staff did clean a great deal of snow off the enclosure roof this afternoon however there was about an inch of new accumulation by the time the deeper drifts had been cleared away. I spent the evening testing an interface between TUI and XEphem. I reported a few bugs and suggestions to Matt Nelson. He was online making software changes as I emailed him recommendations. Second half I further familiarized myself with XEphem and working on a variety of small projects and tasks. When I checked the roof this morning there was some minor drifting near the edges of the building and more serious drifts near the back of the roof. However, the roof was mostly free of snow. The exposure to sun light today should melt most of what I could see. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 24 21 ?? 340 cloudy lt snow 17:00 24 20 ?? 518 cloudy lt snow 18:00 24 20 ?? 441 cloudy snow 19:00 25 21 ?? 775 cloudy humid 20:00 26 22 ?? 2068 cloudy humid 21:00 26 22 ?? 4060 cloudy humid 22:00 25 22 ?? 950 cloudy humid 23:00 26 22 ?? 6931 mstly clr humid 00:00 26 22 ?? 2800 clear humid 01:00 25 19 ?? 274 clear humid 02:00 24 19 ?? 331 clear humid 03:00 23 18 ?? 414 clear humid 04:00 22 19 ?? 541 clear humid 05:00 21 17 ?? 1401 clear humid 06:00 23 15 ?? 761 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
