Special restrictions for tonight are close with sustained winds 20MPH+ and/or gusts 25MPH+ and open with below freezing conditions only. With a broken anemometer (and Sloan being closed) it made it very difficult to determine site wind speed with any accuracy. Mostly it was just guessing by going outside and listening to how hard the wind was blowing thru the trees. I did use the NWS CSMN5 data (updated hourly, YIKES!). We were about to open around 20:00 when the humidity dropped but unfortunately the wind gusts picked up above the 25MPH closure limit. The wind remainded gusty (with the NWS data showing gusts above the 25MPH closure limit Mark had set for tonight) so we never opened. I worked on web stuff all night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 26 21 314 clear none 17:00 23 19 281 clear humid 18:00 21 18 308 clear humid 19:00 20 17 310 clear humid 20:00 19 12 251 clear none 21:00 18 7 2118 clear none 22:00 16 6 656 clear none 23:00 17 1 227 clear none 00:00 16 0 195 clear none 01:00 17 0 210 clear none 02:00 18 11 250 clear none 03:00 18 12 257 clear none 04:00 18 11 164 clear none 05:00 18 9 179 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
