The ID circles correct but the stars displayed 1/2 a screen above the circles.) This sounds exactly like what Gabrelle described yesterday, which isn't suprising since the latest alpha TUI version was what she had problems with. Humidity closed us down around 23:40. We probably had about a 40% failure rate on the DIS shutter at -9C. That went up to around 75% to 90% rate at -11C w/10sec exposures. at 04:37 we got the shutter stuck really good (temp was around -11C)!!! It took several exposures (and a few minutes) to finally get it unstuck. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:10 SPIcam -50(-344) 210 50 -6.6 -5.4 -6.3 -6.8 -6.6 Ha 1.2 18:12 NA2gdr -2709(30290) 210 50 -6.6 -5.4 -6.4 -6.8 -6.5 R 1.4 19:03 SPIcam -100(-406) 213 44 -6.6 -6.2 -7.1 -7.3 -6.8 Ha 1.4 21:19 DISslit -227(-744) 228 76 -8.2 -7.2 -7.8 -7.9 -7.8 -- 1.4 01:17 DISSlit -200(-775) 111 72 -9.4 -9.3 -10.0 -9.8 -9.3 -- 2.7 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:02 24 12 2 181 (S) 707 sct. clds none 17:02 22 6 0 185 (S) 669 sct. clds none 18:02 21 1 7 169 (S) 432 sct. clds none 19:02 20 9 9 175 (S) 448 sct. clds none 20:02 20 12 7 180 (S) 750 sct. clds none 21:02 20 11 9 173 (S) 713 sct. clds none 22:02 12 7 9 116 (ESE) 845 sct. clds none 23:02 15 10 8 105 (ESE) 788 sct. clds none 00:02 17 11 15 143 (SE) 813 sct. clds none 01:02 15 7 19 129 (SE) 769 sct. clds none 02:02 16 9 19 126 (SE) 847 sct. clds none 03:02 16 10 12 111 (ESE) 792 sct. clds none 04:02 13 1 8 96 (E) 539 sct. clds none 05:02 11 0 17 87 (E) 604 sct. clds none 06:02 11 -5 16 86 (E) 420 sct. clds none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
