Even when observing faint objects we could guide well and get decent data (so it seemed). Cloud cam is still weird - the scaling is misleading, a clear dark sky is solid white. Seeing was poor when we opened but as the temps settled it significantly improved. Very productive evening for science. Last two nights Dataq has been very quiet. Eerily quiet. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: J.Dembicky Clear all night long. I fixed the "missing" lamp labels in TUI (actually in the lampswitch). ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:45 DISslit -300(-213) 55 43 10.3 13.6 12.1 12.6 10.6 -- 1.9 21:17 DISslit -150(-200) 6 57 10.3 11.2 10.0 11.3 10.3 -- 1.0 23:40 DISslit 125(-31) -30 53 10.3 10.0 9.3 10.1 10.0 -- 1.1 01:19 DISslit -35(-206) -25 55 10.5 9.9 9.5 10.0 10.0 -- 0.86 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 59 42 12 236 (SW) 1188 clear none 17:00 59 43 5 235 (SW) 907 clear none 18:00 55 36 6 285 (WNW) 664 clear none 19:00 51 38 0 213 (SSW) 953 mstly clr none 20:00 50 34 7 323 (NW) 668 mstly clr none 21:00 50 33 5 335 (NNW) 790 clear none 22:00 50 34 6 266 (W) 791 clear none 23:00 50 33 8 241 (WSW) 809 clear none 00:00 51 32 6 264 (W) 853 clear none 01:00 51 31 7 286 (WNW) 882 clear none 02:00 51 31 5 283 (WNW) 940 clear none 03:00 51 32 7 265 (W) 971 clear none 04:00 51 33 7 273 (W) 1190 clear none 05:00 50 33 9 304 (NW) 1102 clear none 06:00 49 33 7 355 (N) 1053 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
