Humidity bounced around all 1st half, but was low enough for long enough to open at 8:30pm. Around 10pm it was popping up above 80% again. I continued watching it bounce around the closure point the rest of 1st half. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: B.Ketzeback The dewpoint split quickly dropped to below the closure limit after I came on shift. We closed at 00:40. The telescope or air temps did not change enough for the dewpoint split to allow up to open the remainder of the night. I spent the night with various kinds of widget development for a TUI script I was working on for the obs-specs to do SN service observing and for an IDL project that I am developing for the new tycho. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air Dir MPH filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:06 SPIcam 150(-70) 168 57 7.6/8.7 336 0 B 0.9 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 44 43 1 320 (NW) 1044 clear humid 17:00 46 43 3 15 (NNE) 959 clear humid 18:00 47 44 0 42 (NE) 806 clear humid 19:00 45 42 5 86 (E) 865 clear humid 20:00 47 38 2 351 (N) 578 clear none 21:00 46 39 1 342 (NNW) 586 mstly clr none 22:00 45 39 10 143 (SE) 669 mstly clr none 23:00 45 39 6 116 (ESE) 563 mstly clr none 00:00 44 39 6 175 (S) 558 mstly clr none 01:00 45 40 11 149 (SSE) 573 clear humid 02:00 44 40 11 158 (SSE) 596 clear humid 03:00 44 41 3 111 (ESE) 597 ptly cldy humid 04:00 46 41 1 180 (S) 535 ptly cldy humid 05:00 45 41 2 168 (SSE) 635 ptly cldy humid 06:00 46 41 7 171 (S) 555 ptly cldy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
