We let the daytime work continue in the dome right up until sunset, then started on some pick-up science programs. High humidity did not stop us from opening soon after sunset. Rain in the area seemed to be clear. So we opened and let UW02 get in some sky time they missed out on the previous few days. Mostly clear skies, moderate to high humidity rest of 1st half. Seeing was fair, around 1.0" or better. Second half had more mediocre seeing and humidity creeping higher. It got high enough to warrant closing right about the start of morning twilight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:52 NICFPS 100(1603) 212 62 13.7/14.1 108 15 K 0.9 01:19 DISslit 50(1187) 139 44 13.1/13.4 130 14 - 1.5 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 56 52 9 133 (SE) 1397 ptly cldy humid 17:00 58 52 12 120 (ESE) 1589 ptly cldy none 18:00 59 52 13 111 (ESE) 1672 mstly clr none 19:00 60 53 8 138 (SE) 1654 mstly clr none 20:00 57 52 13 111 (ESE) 1555 mstly clr humid 21:00 57 50 15 112 (ESE) 1339 mstly clr none 22:00 57 50 18 113 (ESE) 1201 ptly cldy none 23:00 56 50 15 117 (ESE) 1102 mstly clr none 00:00 56 50 14 126 (SE) 1093 mstly clr none 01:00 56 50 19 129 (SE) 1486 clear none 02:00 55 50 19 129 (SE) 2506 clear none 03:00 56 50 11 115 (ESE) 2402 clear none 04:00 55 50 13 153 (SSE) 2119 clear none 05:00 55 50 11 171 (S) 1548 clear humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
