Rain and lightning at 10pm. Humidity began climbing after 11pm. Never opened 1st half. 2nd half Observing Specialists: R.McMillan Second half started with sprinkles and high humidity and lots of nearby radar traces. When the radar and humidity improved, I opened the cloud camera and we watched the clouds move around. It wasn't until after the beginning of twilight that we had a chance of getting anything. Despite poor seeing and a warm telescope, we were successful in getting returns from the moon. I let APOLLO run past the nominal end time since the telescope was pointing west. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 06:04 APOLLO -100(1965) 233 45 14.2/14.1 139 3 - poor ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 72 51 13 215 (SW) 501 mstly cldy lt rain 17:00 72 47 12 253 (WSW) 471 cloudy none 18:00 59 50 7 178 (S) 895 cloudy none 19:00 62 51 6 196 (SSW) 641 mstly cldy none 20:00 62 47 5 276 (W) 779 mstly cldy none 21:00 63 46 5 250 (WSW) 549 cloudy none 22:00 62 47 7 264 (W) 578 cloudy lt rain 23:00 60 48 2 142 (SE) 573 mstly cldy lt rain 00:00 57 50 9 85 (E) 779 mstly cldy humid 01:00 54 50 15 80 (E) 965 cloudy lt rain 02:00 57 50 2 112 (ESE) 1134 cloudy none 03:00 59 49 4 183 (S) 954 mstly cldy none 04:00 57 49 10 148 (SSE) 1167 mstly cldy none 05:00 57 49 3 121 (ESE) 1142 ptly cldy none 06:00 57 48 11 150 (SSE) 990 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
