It was fixed in short order but evening twilight for flats was lost. After I focused the guider and we went to the first science target the guider camera controller crashed and required a power cycle to bring it back to life. The gmech controller also required a remap after this power cycle in order to find stars (most likely because the filter wheel position was lost and needed homing). I took morning sky flats and biases for the observer upon request. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- UC02 F I/H --:-- --:-- Filter wheel would not turn UC02 F T/H 19:30 19:36 Gcam controller crashed ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:56 gfp 60(1555) 193 76 18.9/20.4 160 14 4253 0.9 21:03 NA2gdr -2603(32496)199 74 19.1/20.3 172 10 R+nd2 0.78 01:22 gfp 150(1501) 141 63 16.4/16.4 137 15 4313 1.16 02:42 gfp 300(1644) 187 68 16.7/16.6 162 6 4313 1.46 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 70 42 4 125 (SE) 519 ptly cldy none 17:00 72 42 10 175 (S) 559 ptly cldy none 18:00 73 41 3 195 (SSW) 517 mstly cldy none 19:00 69 41 7 135 (SE) 598 mstly clr none 20:00 66 43 5 87 (E) 644 mstly clr none 21:00 66 40 12 171 (S) 681 mstly cldy none 22:00 64 39 18 127 (SE) 722 mstly clr none 23:00 63 38 21 136 (SE) 743 mstly clr none 00:00 62 37 19 134 (SE) 760 clear none 01:00 62 37 14 134 (SE) 776 ptly cldy none 02:00 63 35 14 143 (SE) 715 ptly cldy none 03:00 62 36 8 127 (SE) 758 ptly cldy none 04:00 62 35 4 207 (SSW) 693 ptly cldy none 05:00 63 36 15 212 (SSW) 652 ptly cldy none 06:00 59 39 6 180 (S) 837 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
