I could see some Virga to the distance towards our South. Before twilight ended the clouds to the South were a little too close for comfort and I decided to close the mirror covers after the first 5 minute science exposure and wait the clouds out. We re-opened at 20:50 and stayed open the remainder of the night (although around 00:50 my observers paused their exposure for about 30 mins while we waited for the clouds to pass.). Everything ran smoothly tonight with no instrument or guider problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:50 Echelle 1(508) 184 46 16.7/17.5 119 19 ND3 1.2 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 63 36 13 115 (ESE) 1134 Mst.
