It is believed the equipment will be able to be repaired and tested during the day so they can try again tomorrow evening. The rest of first half went smoothly. We did have one failure of the echelle slitviewer that required a reboot of its icc. Second half went smoothly even though we did have cloud cover for a portion of the time that made observations difficult. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- DD01 A I/H 21:12 21:47 Loose wires prevented ranging UW11 E I/H 23:30 23:35 Slitty computer required reboot ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:12 apollo -50(2272) 170 52 19.9/21.0 134 11 - excellent 21:43 Echelle 11(543) 216 76 19.9/20.1 146 13 nd2 0.72 01:20 nicfps 183(1784) 193 79 17.2/17.2 154 23 Ks 1.0 04:27 nicfps 145(1783) 230 77 17.3/17.7 183 15 H 0.67 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 68 29 12 39 (NE) 1452 mstly cldy rain 17:01 69 27 4 260 (W) 1234 prtly cldy none 18:01 68 28 8 163 (SSE) 1147 clear none 19:01 68 28 5 107 (ESE) 1251 clear none 20:01 68 26 8 125 (SE) 1196 clear none 21:01 69 25 11 147 (SSE) 1241 clear none 22:01 67 26 16 140 (SE) 1191 clear none 23:01 66 25 17 156 (SSE) 997 prtly cldy none 00:01 64 22 27 148 (SSE) 922 clear none 01:01 63 21 25 148 (SSE) 881 mstly cldy none 02:01 63 22 18 157 (SSE) 953 clear none 03:01 63 23 13 174 (S) 918 prtly cldy none 04:01 65 25 13 207 (SSW) 907 clear none 05:01 62 24 8 184 (S) 926 clear none 06:01 59 24 4 177 (S) 1140 prtly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
