We received strong returns from all three Apollo reflector arrays (including A14 for the first time!). Furthermore, A14 was unilluminated when we received returns from it. This was the first time we have scored returns from an unilluminated spot. Things went very well the remainder of the night as well. The swap at midnight from our microwave high speed internet link to the T1 backup connection was seemless. At the end of the night (0500) however the observers lost their connection and could not reconnect even after trying for 15 minutes. I finished up for them by taking their requested cals. At 0530, Fritz called the site and he was able to clean up the switch-back-to the microwave link with NMSU. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- UC06 D T/H 05:00 05:15 Loss of TUI connection ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:48 Echelle -27(363) 232 71 16.1/16.6 181 7 nd2 0.81 01:04 dis-slit -27(1064) 166 77 13.7/14.5 143 16 - 1.49 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 62 29 8 42 (NE) 1247 prtly cldy cirrus 17:01 62 32 9 48 (NE) 1098 prtly cldy cirrus 18:01 66 32 3 259 (W) 1220 prtly cldy cirrus 19:01 64 31 1 216 (SW) 1226 prtly cldy cirrus 20:01 61 31 0 202 (SSW) 1170 prtly cldy cirrus 21:01 62 29 1 198 (SSW) 1273 prtly cldy cirrus 22:01 60 32 6 184 (S) 1273 prtly cldy cirrus 23:01 60 32 12 178 (S) 1215 prtly cldy cirrus 00:01 58 32 10 178 (S) 1226 prtly cldy cirrus 01:01 57 32 12 138 (SE) 1411 prtly cldy cirrus 02:01 58 32 6 176 (S) 1309 prtly cldy cirrus 03:01 58 34 12 235 (SW) 1863 clear none 04:01 59 34 11 233 (SW) 1701 clear none 05:01 58 33 5 193 (SSW) 1382 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
