We were able to open shortly after midnight despite borderline winds; of course, our seeing was pretty poor. The sky was nearly clear for a bit, giving way to patchy orographic clouds. I closed when we had a combination of medium clouds and some radar returns in the area, but those turned out to be noise and we soon reopened. Near twilight the humidity got up to the limit, but with fans off the telescope stayed warm enough to be safe. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:35 gfp 0(1371) 170 27 11.7/13.3 70 24 Halpha 2.8 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 68 43 1 243 (WSW) 673 cloudy none 17:00 64 41 7 340 (NNW) 801 cloudy none 18:00 66 40 1 217 (SW) 949 cloudy none 19:00 64 36 2 133 (SE) 618 cloudy none 20:00 61 36 13 81 (E) 505 cloudy none 21:00 59 40 22 75 (ENE) 612 cloudy none 22:00 58 39 17 79 (E) 621 mstly cldy none 23:00 57 38 20 79 (E) 543 ptly cldy none 00:00 55 41 27 75 (ENE) 698 mstly clr none 01:00 53 43 26 70 (ENE) 1344 ptly cldy none 02:00 53 43 26 72 (ENE) 813 ptly cldy none 03:00 52 43 22 73 (ENE) 754 ptly cldy none 04:00 51 44 19 76 (ENE) 689 ptly cldy none 05:00 51 46 23 74 (ENE) 715 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
