All three first-half programs were clouded out. The clouds began to thin around 00:30, too late for CU04 (which swapped time with the scheduled UC05). We opened just at 01:00 to thin clouds and poor, variable seeing. Conditions continued imperfect but usable for the remainder of the morning, with an episode of returned clouds offset by gradual improvement in seeing. We had a few very minor glitches with TUI and hub (refusing to open a file that did exist, looking for a strange file that didn't exist) which cost no time. Otherwise everything went smoothly. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:07 Echelle -60(135) 171 83 11.2/12.4 139 2 ND2 1.75 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 63 42 5 272 (W) 1559 cloudy rain,hail 17:01 51 42 19 73 (ENE) 4816 cloudy rain 18:01 52 36 12 44 (NE) 637 cloudy none 19:01 59 31 2 135 (SE) 746 cloudy none 20:01 59 29 2 36 (NE) 668 cloudy none 21:01 57 37 9 79 (ENE) 1755 mstly cldy none 22:01 55 37 15 74 (ENE) 1617 mstly cldy none 23:01 53 38 17 77 (ENE) 1485 mstly cldy none 00:01 54 40 5 102 (ESE) 1660 mstly cldy none 01:01 53 39 6 107 (ESE) 1603 ptly cldy none 02:01 55 37 5 229 (SW) 1677 mstly clr none 03:01 54 38 5 184 (S) 1632 ptly cldy none 04:01 54 38 8 231 (SW) 1660 mstly clr none 05:01 53 38 5 216 (SW) 1650 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
