Once the precip was past and the dust was down, I opened to let the observer wrestle with the clouds. Then the clouds got thicker and it looked like an orographic formation. I had just told the observer we would be closing when the rain sensor went off. The telescope got a smattering of drops on it, mostly on the NA1 side, and would like to be cleaned if possible during the day. The clouds and radar traces didn't resolve in time to be of use to the second-half observer. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:21 DISslit -75(1324) 134 48 17.7/19.9 252 23 - 1.5 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 77.5 33.7 17.9 215.6 3063 ptly cldy none 17:00 74.1 30.4 34.5 202.2 2935 ptly cldy none 18:00 71.2 29.5 23.7 234.2 5785 mstly cldy dust 19:00 70.5 28.2 12.0 255.5 13613 mstly cldy dust 20:00 69.2 27.2 16.6 273.0 9009 ptly cldy dust 21:00 67.5 26.6 28.5 249.2 5726 ptly cldy dust 22:00 66.3 24.2 20.8 269.5 4568 ptly cldy none 23:00 64.7 25.0 29.7 281.5 4242 ptly cldy none 00:00 63.2 27.8 27.5 246.5 3540 ptly cldy rain! 01:00 61.9 29.5 21.4 267.6 4006 ptly cldy none 02:00 60.8 18.8 20.1 264.1 2608 ptly cldy none 03:00 59.4 20.4 21.4 267.0 2578 ptly cldy none 04:00 58.6 23.6 27.4 275.0 2592 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
