I noticed the guider was guiding, but switched over to manual mode instead of guide on star at g0303. I don't recall much in the way of an audible warning of it switching to manual mode, and didn't notice the purple cross was missing until I happened to glance a little closer. At approx. 22:55 guiding failed, images g0326-g0332, again. This time I was paying closer attention. The audio file on Jeppe isn't obvious, sounded very similiar to another sound effect I had so I didn't notice it (I will change the sound effect to something more annoying (useful)!) This I don't think is a bug, but not sure why it lost the guidestar. I restarted the guider with a brighter star, although the star I was guiding on should have been fine 1100 cts above bkgnd. It seemed to like the brighter (more bloated star better). Which of the controls do we adjust to increase the search radius for the star? My observer issued offsets (Object XY) at 23:15 and the guider adjusted to the new stars position correctly (as I expected and hoped). My user noted one thing she did not like in TUI (perhaps already addressed in TUI 1.2). The UTC clock is based on the local machines clock and not APO UTC clock (or perhaps a .gov time server clock). No Problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:55 DIS -125(1106) 81 60 15.1/17.5 247 6 none 1.3 21:05 NA2Gdr -6818(22181) 78 62 14.6/17.3 255 8 R 1.0 23:09 DIS -50(1061) -6 81 14.6/15.1 270 6 none 1.1 01:57 DIS 25(1161) -88 51 13.1/14.0 113 5 none 1.1 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 70 26 8 236 (SW) 2377 Clear none 17:01 70 26 18 248 (WSW) 2426 Clear none 18:01 69 25 17 206 (SSW) 1911 Clear none 19:01 65 21 11 266 (W) 2195 Clear none 20:01 62 19 7 253 (WSW) 2377 Clear none 21:01 58 16 9 244 (WSW) 1865 Clear none 22:01 58 15 7 246 (WSW) 2194 Clear none 23:01 58 15 6 274 (W) 1950 Clear none 00:01 58 15 12 310 (NW) 1951 Clear none 01:01 58 15 7 278 (W) 1980 Clear none 02:01 56 12 7 132 (SE) 1870 Clear none 03:01 57 15 2 270 (W) 1625 Clear none 04:01 57 13 0 139 (SE) 1470 Clear none 05:01 57 14 2 166 (SSE) 1450 Clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
