There was alot of trouble with nicfps tonight. Each time we switched Fowler Sampling the Instrument Control System needed to be restarted. A new problem report was filed regarding it. We pushed the wind limit as far as we could until twilight and then we closed for good. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- PU02 N I/U 03:30 04:00 Images were garbage, 0 or 32768 PU02 N I/H 04:56 04:58 Readout hung PU02 N I/S 01:00 01:02 restarts of ics when change FS PU02 N I/S 03:25 03:27 restarts of ics when change FS PU02 N I/S 04:30 04:32 restarts of ics when change FS PU02 N T/H 04:56 04:57 Altitude Axis Halted ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:22 Apollo -75(1657) 285 32 4.1/5.0 254 27 - Horrific 03:48 nicfps 108(1025) 255 75 0.5/1.1 266 19 J 1.79 04:43 nicfps 283(1223) 239 40 -0.9/-0.9 270 27 J 2.6 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 52 28 25 228 (SW) 6287 prtly cldy gusty 17:01 51 27 30 239 (WSW) 12510 prtly cldy gusty, dusty 18:01 47 32 22 233 (SW) 14132 mstly cldy gusty, dusty 19:01 49 32 35 213 (SSW) 37298 mstly cldy gusty, dusty 20:01 49 28 24 227 (SW) 40968 mstly cldy gusty, dusty 21:01 47 27 27 236 (SW) 28583 prtly cldy gusty, dusty 22:01 46 26 31 215 (SW) 24326 prtly cldy gusty, dusty 23:01 44 23 27 222 (SW) 15759 mstly clr gusty, dusty 00:01 40 21 21 241 (WSW) 2227 cloudy gusty 01:01 39 18 29 234 (SW) 1539 clear none 02:01 38 18 30 239 (WSW) 1405 mstly cldy windy 03:01 34 19 28 232 (SW) 1734 mstly cldy windy 04:01 33 19 32 239 (WSW) 1663 clear none 05:01 30 16 22 264 (W) 1754 clear gusty 06:01 27 14 36 266 (W) 1874 clear windy 07:01 26 12 25 274 (W) 2105 clear windy Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
