We were open for all of first half, but there were some periods with nothing useful obtained even though the observers had already switched to a backup program with brighter targets. Second half, there was time for some observations on one target before thick clouds closed in and I decided to close the dome. The conditions and target fields for the spicam observations weren't right for me to look for a repeat of last night's cryptic image elongation. I worked on observer training, TUI bug reports and the PI list for next quarter. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:34 SPIcam -25(948) 154 65 6.7/7.8 245 16 r 0.76 19:38 NA2gdr -2532(30467)156 65 6.5/7.7 217 22 R 0.81 00:28 DISslit 25(728) -13067 5.8/5.1 161 1 - 1.2 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 52 11 15 261 (W) 1518 mstly cldy none 17:01 48 7 6 272 (W) 1521 mstly cldy none 18:01 46 7 10 264 (W) 1434 mstly cldy none 19:01 44 10 15 226 (SW) 1667 mstly cldy none 20:01 42 14 10 201 (SSW) 1459 mstly cldy none 21:01 42 14 9 262 (W) 1468 mstly cldy none 22:01 42 14 10 263 (W) 1465 mstly cldy none 23:01 43 13 9 266 (W) 1402 mstly cldy none 00:01 42 13 0 198 (SSW) 1380 ptly cldy none 01:01 41 11 7 10 (N) 1700 ptly cldy none 02:01 44 7 4 338 (NNW) 1783 cloudy none 03:01 42 10 6 342 (NNW) 1858 cloudy none 04:01 43 8 5 322 (NW) 1792 cloudy none 05:01 41 15 13 126 (SE) 1408 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
