There was a bit of problems at the beginning of the night again getting nicfps ready for observations but luckily Fred and Stephane could investigate the problem closely. Second half SPIcam from on readout. It would not readout past block 13. We were lucky to retrieve the exposure so no time was lost. The louvers and fans were acting up this evening so we chased focus most of the night. Seeing however was some of the very best I have ever seen the beginning of second half. After an hour it degraded to moderate results. It didn't help that air temperature wasnt very stable tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- CU01 N I/H 17:30 17:50 Leach controller needed cycling ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:00 nicfps 471(1450) 266 38 -3.0/-0.3 84 10 H2 1.3 19:26 nicfps 125(1096) 270 33 -3.2/-1.1 83 14 J 1.39 21:16 nicfps 50(931) 349 40 -0.4/-2.2 199 2 H 0.98 22:10 nicfps 125(921) 338 66 -1.3/-2.1 158 1 Ks 0.68 00:20 SPIcam -40(490) -4 69 -2.3/-2.4 166 1 R 0.6 00:26 SPIcam -10(509) -6 69 -2.4/-2.4 95 4 B 0.63 01:00 NA2gdr -2508(30491) 172 36 -1.9/-2.6 186 1 R 0.8 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 36 22 9 195 (SSW) 806 prtly cldy none 17:01 34 21 9 266 (W) 836 prtly cldy none 18:01 31 20 4 257 (WSW) 823 prtly cldy none 19:01 27 22 12 79 (ENE) 1255 prtly cldy humid 20:01 26 22 9 90 (E) 1215 prtly cldy humid 21:01 30 17 2 178 (S) 871 prtly cldy none 22:01 30 19 1 184 (S) 823 prtly cldy none 23:01 30 15 0 93 (E) 836 clear none 00:01 29 20 2 188 (S) 864 clear none 01:01 29 20 1 185 (S) 820 clear none 02:01 27 15 11 127 (SE) 744 clear none 03:01 29 15 9 134 (SE) 712 clear none 04:01 27 7 10 142 (SE) 632 clear none 05:01 27 7 13 135 (SE) 662 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
