This made a few of the engineering tasks too difficult to even try. Hopefully tomorrow evenings engineering time will have better conditions. Several items were accomplished first half however. Further characterization of fastcam was performed and a couple data sets collected. I checked and adjusted the azimuth velocity scales, tested a script to automate this proceedure in TUI and tested it. The pressurization tests were put off due to the poor seeing conditions. Craig started his investigation of computed offsets, however pending some feedback from Russell this may continue tomorrow night as well. Craig fixed the hub bug that prevented the nicfps focus script from running under TUI 1.2a1. I tested the script and verified it wasx working properly. I did have alot of difficulty getting nicfps to respond this evening, I rebooted the ICS a few times along with one trip to the dome to power cycle the Leach controller. There was also need to restart the nicfpsExpose actor since the hub froze on reading out an exposure. Several bands of clouds pushed through the area from midnight to 03:00. No other problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:56 nicfps 91(1042) 196 76 2.5/1.9 178 24 Ks 0.9 23:46 nicfps 75(1004) 220 76 1.1/1.4 180 18 H 0.95 02:37 nicfps 25(858) 331 65 -1.6/-1.2 180 17 H 1.33 03:02 nicfps 72(929) 204 54 -1.3/-1.4 158 14 Y 1.53 04:26 SPIcam 50(676) 233 43 -1.6/-2.0 185 13 i 1.2 05:21 Echelle -8(-453) 198 78 -2.4/-2.5 179 11 nd2 1.14 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 40 14 19 200 (SSW) 1067 clear none 17:01 40 11 14 211 (SSW) 998 clear none 18:01 37 12 21 204 (SSW) 1088 clear none 19:01 35 12 19 178 (S) 1298 clear none 20:01 35 15 24 161 (SSE) 1167 clear none 21:01 36 10 27 162 (SSE) 1470 clear none 22:01 35 13 15 162 (SSE) 1150 clear none 23:01 37 10 21 191 (S) 860 clear none 00:01 35 11 17 168 (SSE) 1033 prtly cldy cirrus 01:01 33 12 17 172 (S) 1188 mstly cldy thick clouds 02:01 30 14 7 180 (S) 1108 prtly cldy cirrus 03:01 30 14 10 179 (S) 1296 prtly cldy cirrus 04:01 30 14 14 174 (S) 1326 clear none 05:01 28 14 9 194 (SSW) 1317 clear none 06:01 26 15 15 197 (SSW) 1426 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
