BTW, the instrument is Fastcam3 now. We manually did an instrument block for Fastcam3, since the software on the Mac was broken (PR submitted). I took 2 sets of data for Bill. One with the telescope pointed in the wind (actually 2x5 min sequences for this, then figured out Bill might want the data taken with the telescope not pointed into the wind, so we took another 5 min sequence of another star). I e-mailed Bill the separate log of what/where files were for his Fastcam data. Checked telescope collimation. Did a pointing model (there was one stray point, #10, which I removed manually from the pterr file and created the model without it). New pointing model implemented. I closed for clouds/dust around 02:30 and that kept us closed for the remainder of the night. Worked on updating some of the observing specialist engineering task web pages for the remainder of the night, as well as figuring out which data point in the pointing model was the bad one. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:47 NA2gdr -14501(700) 45 74 4.7/4.2 199 20 R+ND2 0.8 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 46 5 15 209 (SSW) 885 Cirrus none 17:01 44 6 11 203 (SSW) 1078 Cirrus none 18:01 38 6 13 136 (SE) 1138 Cirrus none 19:01 37 5 19 156 (SSE) 1417 Clouds none 20:01 38 5 18 164 (SSE) 1535 Clouds none 21:01 41 5 13 182 (S) 1990 Cirrus none 22:01 41 3 16 196 (SSW) 2139 clear dust 23:01 40 7 22 178 (S) 2920 clear dust 00:01 40 9 22 196 (SSW) 3365 clear dust 01:01 41 10 25 186 (S) 3624 Pt.
