Dust and high winds kept us closed until 19:30 then clouds became too thick at 21:30 and again at 01:10. We stayed open waiting for a hole or break in the clouds that never came. The wind started to pickup again just before 05:00. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:55 dis-slit -150(213) 188 39 -6.7/-5.1 281 18 - 2.98 00:18 Echelle -17(-687) 186 75 -7.3/-7.8 333 24 nd2 2.16 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 24 16 36 278 (W) 18795 prtly cldy dust, windy 17:01 23 14 26 280 (W) 7769 prtly cldy dust, windy 18:01 22 12 35 294 (WNW) 7844 prtly cldy dust, windy 19:01 21 8 18 258 (WSW) 1792 prtly cldy none 20:01 20 2 15 280 (W) 1000 prtly cldy none 21:01 19 -4 22 294 (WNW) 584 cloudy none 22:01 20 -2 3 306 (NW) 276 cloudy none 23:01 20 2 14 352 (N) 466 prtly cldy none 00:01 19 4 20 324 (NW) 475 prtly cldy none 01:01 18 -7 11 322 (NW) 253 mstly cldy none 02:01 18 -3 20 338 (NNW) 434 cloudy none 03:01 19 5 11 316 (NW) 682 cloudy none 04:01 19 8 20 308 (NW) 1048 cloudy none 05:01 19 11 17 314 (NW) 1470 cloudy gusty Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
