Around 2200 the skies started to clear. At 0515 we switched to the echelle to a spectrum of a nova in outburst then switched back to the gfp for sky flats. The only trouble all night other than weather was that instrument kept loosing lock and needed to be reset. Luckily the observers determined how to reset the instrument remotely and no time was lost going to the observing level to rest the electronics. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:54 gfp 200(1081) 192 77 6.8/6.1 184 13 R 1.19 01:34 gfp 350(1172) 145 51 4.2/3.2 234 17 6403 0.99 01:40 NA2gdr -211(32788) 147 52 4.0/3.3 227 14 clear 1.07 04:00 gfp 250(1073) 207 54 3.9/3.5 264 15 6403 0.69 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 40 17 8 129 (SE) 535 mstly cldy none 17:01 40 11 10 194 (SSW) 535 mstly cldy none 18:01 42 5 13 195 (SSW) 566 mstly cldy none 19:01 43 3 11 191 (S) 517 mstly cldy none 20:01 42 5 12 177 (S) 579 mstly cldy none 21:01 39 15 13 185 (S) 639 mstly cldy none 22:01 40 22 12 175 (S) 741 mstly cldy none 23:01 40 23 16 194 (SSW) 760 prtly cldy none 00:01 37 23 13 198 (SSW) 680 mstly clr none 01:01 39 21 14 215 (SW) 683 mstly clr none 02:01 40 20 11 231 (SW) 791 clear none 03:01 40 21 13 259 (W) 1054 mstly clr none 04:01 39 23 10 265 (W) 1113 mstly clr none 05:01 39 21 13 269 (W) 1058 clear none 06:01 40 20 17 283 (WNW) 1123 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
