The humidity quickly rose to a point just below the limit, dropping slightly whenever I almost made the decision to close. Fast-moving low-altitude clouds moved in, then out, then in again, and the last few hours of the night were completely lost to clouds and humidity. If the actual start and end times look confusing, it's because they were. There was an informal trade of before midnight vs. after midnight time, and parts of the traded times were lost to clouds anyway, but it seemed to work out equitably. Time lost to weather was listed against the program that was trying to observe when the clouds moved in, not the program that was scheduled to observe. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:34 DISslit -150(469) 168 46 -1.7/1.3 259 5 - 2.8 19:36 NIC 50(895) 251 76 -0.7/-0.6 290 7 Ks 0.95 21:48 Echelle 65(-293) 219 59 -1.3/-1.4 234 8 ND1 1.35 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 35 18 8 271 (W) 965 clear none 17:01 34 14 3 239 (WSW) 681 clear none 18:01 31 17 9 283 (WNW) 1261 clear none 19:01 30 19 5 259 (W) 1551 clear none 20:01 31 25 11 302 (WNW) 2474 clear none 21:01 31 25 4 260 (W) 2398 clear none 22:01 29 24 7 215 (SW) 2108 ptly cldy none 23:01 27 20 11 267 (W) 1262 ptly cldy none 00:01 25 19 7 265 (W) 1102 mstly cldy none 01:01 24 18 9 250 (WSW) 1072 mstly cldy none 02:01 23 18 6 234 (SW) 980 cloudy humid 03:01 21 18 10 239 (WSW) 1017 cloudy humid 04:01 21 17 7 266 (W) 970 cloudy humid 05:01 19 16 6 290 (WNW) 1073 cloudy humid 06:01 18 15 8 315 (NW) 1162 cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
