At the beginning of first half we were open for long enough to focus but slew to a traget field but not long enough to get any real data. The dewpoint did not drop again until second half when we were able to open for a few short hours. At the end of second half it looked again like we might get a chance to open however the skies had clouded over and shortly after I had decided it was not likely to clear the humidity creeped back to over the limit. I spent a great deal of the night assisting the DIS team and working collecting some post engineering data on the instrument. ------ FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:19 nicfps 30(366) 204 77 -0.2 2.4 0.9 1.0 0.3 Ks 0.7 00:47 Echelle -256(-1323) 190 78 -1.2 -1.1 nd2 0.7 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:01 33 27 11 1 (N) 102 clear none 17:01 32 27 9 341 (NNW) 45 clear humid 18:01 32 26 11 333 (NNW) 58 clear humid 19:01 30 28 10 329 (NNW) 213 clear humid 20:01 30 28 6 267 (W) 403 clear humid 21:01 30 28 0 287 (WNW) 403 clear humid 22:01 30 27 6 279 (W) 348 clear humid 23:01 29 25 14 285 (WNW) 331 clear humid 00:01 30 24 14 279 (W) 333 clear humid 01:01 30 23 10 289 (WNW) 367 clear none 02:01 31 22 15 282 (WNW) 275 clear none 03:01 31 24 12 287 (WNW) 357 clear humid 04:01 29 24 19 277 (W) 420 cloudy humid 05:01 29 23 17 297 (WNW) 398 cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
