Fog all first half. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Second half started out foggy, but even when humidity dropped and skies cleared the dome was still covered in encrustations of snow, preventing any chance of opening. In addition to running the snow program, I spent several hours up in the dome trying, again, to align the DIS gratings, but I had considerable trouble with them. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:02 23 19 14 346 (NNW) 842 cloudy fog 17:02 23 19 6 34 (NE) 3937 cloudy fog 18:02 23 20 4 289 (WNW) 4975 cloudy fog 19:02 23 19 2 297 (WNW) 4632 cloudy fog 20:02 24 20 11 353 (N) 8070 cloudy fog 21:02 24 20 12 29 (NNE) 14503 cloudy fog 22:02 24 20 11 9 (N) 9646 cloudy fog 23:02 24 20 12 30 (NNE) 7312 cloudy fog 00:02 25 20 9 17 (NNE) 7600 mstly cldy humid 01:02 24 18 12 39 (NE) 4753 mstly clr none 02:02 25 20 7 0 (N) 250 clear none 03:02 27 22 13 1 (N) 209 clear none 04:02 26 19 15 14 (NNE) 153 clear none 05:02 23 17 17 25 (NNE) 195 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
