Seeing was good. We switched to Apollo at 22:30. No problems to report. 2nd half Observing Specialist: J.Dembicky Rotator Halted due to wrap limit at 05:19:20, observer was tracking thru zenith, but I haven't seen TUI not put the rotator in a mid-wrap state at the end of a slew. The observer had been on the object for a couple of hours. This isn't a problem, but the telescope did what it was supposed to do, just wasn't sure why TUI positioned the rotator so it would wrap. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:20 EchSltVwr -139(-1155) 323 58 -1.2 1.2 0.2 -0.4 -0.8 ND2 1.0 20:15 EchSltVwr -139(-1155) 11 42 -3.8 -2.4 -2.9 -3.6 -3.6 CLR 1.4 22:35 Apollo -225(175) 50 67 -5.0 -4.5 -5.2 -5.1 -5.0 --- 1.2 00:10 NICFPS -150(-31) 142 37 -5.6 -5.4 -6.0 -5.6 -5.8 J 0.9 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:01 34 12 10 233 (SW) 365 clear none 17:01 30 9 10 242 (WSW) 362 clear none 18:01 29 8 9 221 (SW) 427 clear none 19:01 29 8 10 239 (WSW) 469 clear none 20:01 27 8 7 242 (WSW) 533 clear none 21:01 25 12 0 171 (S) 753 clear none 22:01 24 13 3 342 (NNW) 761 clear none 23:01 23 13 5 279 (W) 753 clear none 00:01 22 12 9 307 (NW) 699 clear none 01:01 22 11 8 312 (NW) 793 clear none 02:01 21 11 7 322 (NW) 653 clear none 03:01 20 12 9 345 (NNW) 722 clear none 04:01 19 13 9 360 (N) 714 clear none 05:01 18 12 9 11 (N) 780 clear none 06:01 18 13 11 6 (N) 798 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
