Raining at 18:00. Complete overcast and local radar returns most of 1st half. About 23:00 the radar cleared, 23:30 the sky was improving. We opened at 23:50. Used the new DIS slit focus script. Seems to work quite well. Skies mostly cleared by 1:00, staying fair the rest of the evening. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 00:30 DISslit -74(-74) 175 70 5.5 5.4 4.8 5.2 4.9 -- 1.0 03:20 DISslit -141(-216) 171 66 3.5 3.2 2.7 3.4 3.0 -- 1.4 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:01 45 20 14 180 (S) 917 mstly cldy none 17:01 44 19 17 166 (SSE) 904 cloudy none 18:01 44 21 12 191 (S) 881 cloudy lt rain 19:01 44 21 13 176 (S) 1043 cloudy none 20:01 43 21 10 174 (S) 1081 cloudy none 21:01 44 20 17 186 (S) 1110 mstly cldy none 22:01 43 20 13 189 (S) 1068 mstly cldy none 23:01 44 18 16 187 (S) 826 mstly cldy none 00:01 43 18 17 206 (SSW) 912 mstly clr none 01:01 42 19 11 233 (SW) 1127 clear none 02:01 40 19 9 232 (SW) 1228 clear none 03:01 39 20 11 216 (SW) 1719 clear none 04:01 39 19 12 266 (W) 868 clear none 05:01 38 19 10 264 (W) 905 clear none 06:01 37 18 10 266 (W) 705 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
