We had reoccuring problems with both the A to D card for the camera and a problem which prevented the cal mirror from registering when moved into the beam. The AtoD problem prevented observations for about an hour, however we were also closed for a portion of that time for high humidity and excessively elevated 0.3um dust levels. The fear was the dust was smoke particulate from nearby forestry control burn sites. We closed at 18:50 and re-opened at 19:50. Seeing was great to moderate. No other problems to report. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UC05 F I/H 17:20 18:50 Bit flip troubles from AtoD ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 18:05 gfp 80(126) 180 78 1.9 3.1 2.8 2.5 2.0 R 0.67 18:09 NA2gdr -2090(33009) 185 79 2.0 3.1 2.7 2.5 2.2 R+nd2 0.63 19:57 gfp 130(240) 190 58 5.9 3.4 2.6 4.2 5.5 R 1.23 21:38 gfp 60(207) 229 47 4.8 5.1 4.6 4.6 4.5 7950 0.81 03:35 gfp 90(163) 23 73 5.1 3.3 3.0 3.3 4.5 R 0.93 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:01 42 28 6 190 (S) 1043 clear none 17:01 38 29 7 182 (S) 1115 clear none 18:01 36 30 10 178 (S) 1237 clear none 19:01 35 30 2 133 (SE) 1349 clear dust,humid 20:01 42 0 7 200 (SSW) 315 clear none 21:01 44 -16 5 213 (SSW) 140 clear none 22:01 42 3 5 184 (S) 330 clear none 23:01 41 -3 2 175 (S) 211 clear none 00:01 37 15 5 175 (S) 484 clear none 01:01 36 24 5 178 (S) 939 clear none 02:01 39 9 6 182 (S) 432 clear none 03:01 42 -2 1 177 (S) 257 clear none 04:01 46 -21 4 226 (SW) 141 clear none 05:01 43 -13 3 189 (S) 149 clear none 06:01 43 -14 2 240 (WSW) 159 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
