Clear skies, moderate humidity, and a little windy at sunset. Fast moving patchy clouds moved in about 21:50 making observing pretty much impossible. Closed at 23:00 since we had complete overcast and the satellite images didn't show a break anytime soon. The humidity also began a gradual climb once the clouds moved in. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan We closed the cloudcam when it showed a few small droplets. About half an hour later, the rain sensor went off. I set up the observer's special DIS needs and let him take cals for a while to get acquainted with the setup. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:33 DISslit 550(136) 17 51 6.9 7.8 6.8 7.0 7.1 -- 1.5 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 50 37 23 218 (SW) 535 clear none 17:00 49 33 27 215 (SW) 514 clear none 18:00 46 31 20 237 (WSW) 526 clear none 19:00 44 30 14 256 (WSW) 619 clear none 20:00 44 28 24 248 (WSW) 644 clear none 21:00 44 29 19 267 (W) 790 clear none 22:00 44 31 21 248 (WSW) 718 mstly cldy none 23:00 43 35 16 258 (WSW) 882 cloudy none 00:00 42 36 20 267 (W) 994 cloudy lt rain 01:00 41 36 19 267 (W) 1013 cloudy humid 02:00 40 37 18 253 (WSW) 1058 cloudy humid 03:00 39 38 17 278 (W) 964 cloudy humid 04:00 39 38 19 264 (W) 999 cloudy fog 05:00 39 38 22 256 (WSW) 1058 cloudy fog 06:00 39 39 22 250 (WSW) 80551 cloudy fog Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
