At 22:30 I was tricked by what the Sloanies were calling a sucker-split. The humidity dropped I started ventillating and opened, 8 minutes later by the time I returned to the control room the depression was less than 2 degrees. We immediately closed. So when the dewpoint split again grew at 00:20 I waited about 20 minutes before having the courage to open again. The rest of the night went well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 00:48 SPIcam 50(-362) 170 78 2.3 4.1 3.8 3.6 2.5 r 0.62 00:52 NA2gdr -5700(29400) 173 77 2.3 4.0 3.8 3.6 2.5 R+nd2 0.79 01:43 SPIcam 300(-50) 239 25 3.1 3.4 3.1 3.6 3.1 r 2.2 02:46 SPIcam 455(39) 221 52 2.8 3.0 2.6 3.1 2.8 r 1.48 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 43 41 9 200 (SSW) 256 mstly clr lt rain 17:00 43 40 11 217 (SW) 148 clear humid 18:00 41 38 6 253 (WSW) 270 clear humid 19:00 41 38 9 287 (WNW) 321 ptly cldy humid 20:00 40 39 11 301 (WNW) 430 ptly cldy humid 21:00 39 39 13 270 (W) 25924 ptly cldy humid, fog 22:00 38 35 11 295 (WNW) 570 ptly cldy humid 23:00 38 32 13 273 (W) 631 clear humid 00:00 36 28 14 295 (WNW) 592 clear humid 01:00 37 25 10 272 (W) 564 clear none 02:00 38 20 8 192 (SSW) 423 clear none 03:00 37 21 12 210 (SSW) 381 clear none 04:00 35 24 9 198 (SSW) 323 clear none 05:00 35 21 10 226 (SW) 259 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
