Zero'ed rotator (change 0.106) Collimated the telescope and also tuned the drives a bit. We closed at 22:00 due to rising humidity (2.2 deg split between dewpoint and primary) We re-opened at 23:30 to finish the S-H tasks on the list. Russet will analyze later. At 01:15 I switched over to focus and start a pointing model. 0.51 arc sec seeing off the NA2 guider (R+ND2 filter)!!! I did an 80 point pointing model and implemented that. I then checked pointing at NA2 with SPIcam (looked good). I switched to the echelle to check pointing there and adjusted as necessary (it was fairly close). I then switched to FastCam to try and get some of Bill's data. I followed Bill's instructions in his manual but I didn't seem to be seeing anything in the live image (just a black screen) when I pointed the telescope at Rigel. I double checked that the TR2 eyelid was open and I had moved the tertiary to the TR2 port and the instrument was set to fastcam3. I also set the frame grab rate to 8 fps, so something bright should at least appear. I tried to toggle the lamps off/on 7 (I could hear the dis-connect/connect sound from the PC as I toggled the camera off/on). Still no dice. I swept thru focus from 2000 to -2000, Nada (was the focus zeropoint adjusted for the new top end?). I even tried turning on/off the truss lamps to see if I could at least see a change in the display (nope). Slewed to Sirius and saw the star zip by (good) although it went off the screen. Resized the window to 1000x1000 pixels (at 8fps) and the star was on the screen!!! A few minutes of resizing and setting the windowing (origin) and I had the frame down to 200x200 @ 98fps. First thing I noticed on Sirius (other than it being out of focus) was that the secondary shadow was NOT centered. (I centered the star on the camera, not at an edge). I captured 30 sec of data of the out of focus star. (filename Test01/Sirius_out_of_focus.) Offset ObjectXY to center star X=80" Y=50" Focus seemed to be in the -1000 range, but Sirius was a bit too bright to use for a focus star.
