Seeing was about 1.2 arc sec at sunset when we focused but the telescope wasn't at thermo-equilibrium yet either. It varied between 1.5 to 0.9 arc sec during the 1st half. No problems 1st half. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Second half had continued clear skies and poor seeing (1.5-2 arcsec in the visible). Everything worked perfectly. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:33 NICFPS 75(943) 56 70 -1.8/0.3 213 2 Ks 1.2 17:49 NA2gdr -664(42335) 49 73 -2.3/-0.3 216 2 R 1.1 18:18 NICFPS 25(907) 173 49 -2.8/-1.2 129 8 Ks 1.3 18:27 NA2gdr -558(42441) 174 49 -3.2/-1.5 108 6 R 1.8 19:05 NICFPS 25(865) 179 50 -2.9/-2.3 141 1 Ks 1.3 19:12 NA2gdr -320(42679) 180 50 -3.1/-2.4 183 1 R 2.0 21:08 NICFPS 125(946) 192 47 -2.2/-2.9 1 1 Ks 1.3 21:14 NA2gdr -2678(40321) 192 47 -2.0/-3.0 1 1 R 1.8 22:14 NICFPS 150(985) 197 44 -2.2/-3.1 15 1 Ks 0.9 22:21 NA2gdr -2403(40596) 197 43 -2.3/-3.1 7 6 R 1.1 23:10 NICFPS 125(996) 199 40 -2.6/-3.2 342 8 Ks 1.1 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 32 -27 3 50 (NE) 434 Clear none 17:01 32 -25 1 225 (SW) 632 Clear none 18:01 28 -10 1 196 (SSW) 965 Clear none 19:01 26 -7 1 119 (ESE) 814 Clear none 20:01 29 -20 0 337 (NNW) 480 Clear none 21:01 27 -19 2 0 (N) 476 Clear none 22:01 29 -25 1 355 (N) 411 Clear none 23:01 27 -22 0 39 (NE) 408 Clear none 00:01 27 -32 5 2 (N) 724 clear none 01:01 26 -30 16 26 (NNE) 629 clear none 02:01 29 -30 13 343 (NNW) 818 clear none 03:01 32 -30 16 351 (N) 1305 clear none 04:01 31 -30 9 6 (N) 1147 clear none 05:01 32 -29 22 5 (N) 1449 clear none 06:01 34 -26 13 4 (N) 2032 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
