NICFPS seemed to be reading out really slowly during my checkout. I rebooted the ICS program, which didn't fix the problem. After working on the problem we got it working much faster and on the sky before twilight ended. No science time lost. Again at first instrument switch (NICFPS to DIS) I noticed the load cells (A & B) not happy. I slewed the telescope several times maximum swings in altitude and that seemed to settle out the load cells again. C and T looked fine this time and we were not pointing into the wind. This only took a couple of minutes tonight. During the Midnight instrument the load cells were much happier. No problems 2nd half. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:16 NICFPS 200(951) 15 77 -3.1/-2.7 301 17 Ks 0.8 19:35 NICFPS 175(892) -6 81 -3.1/-3.5 293 20 Ks 0.63 19:39 NA2gdr -1008(41991) -13 81 -3.2/-3.4 303 18 R 0.62 22:26 DISslit -50(382) -103 49 -1.9/-2.7 302 15 none 1.0 22:50 NA2gdr -8976(20023) 150 56 -1.9/-2.6 306 18 R 0.74 00:25 SPIcam 100(644) 171 63 -1.8/-2.4 304 20 g' 0.92 00:26 NA2gdr -3225(29774) 171 63 -1.8/-2.3 307 17 R 0.7 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 28 5 8 329 (NNW) 426 Clear none 17:01 27 5 7 12 (NNE) 418 Clear none 18:01 26 5 14 311 (NW) 406 Clear none 19:01 27 6 24 304 (NW) 340 Clear none 20:01 26 7 13 296 (WNW) 299 Clear none 21:01 27 6 19 294 (WNW) 478 Clear none 22:01 28 6 7 275 (W) 820 Clear none 23:01 29 5 18 314 (NW) 666 Clear none 00:01 29 5 18 314 (NW) 506 Lt.
