Unfortunately, the GFP developed a serious electronic/readout problem when it was mounted, costing a large chunk out of the middle of the night until the observers gave up and switched to DIS for a backup program. There were also some weird symptoms from the DIS slitviewer; its occasional background-changing tricks apparently upset the TUI guiding software. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- DD01 F I/H 01:00 04:05 crippling noise on readouts ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:45 DISslit 75(1407) 126 43 16.5/17.8 171 14 - 1.12 19:48 NA2gdr -2106(26893)127 44 16.5/17.7 176 17 R 1.02 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 69 44 17 210 (SSW) ptly cldy none 17:01 69 42 17 227 (SW) ptly cldy none 18:01 64 41 7 190 (S) mstly clr none 19:01 63 39 10 183 (S) mstly clr none 20:01 62 40 16 167 (SSE) clear none 21:01 61 41 17 178 (S) clear none 22:01 61 37 21 186 (S) clear none 23:01 62 36 21 188 (S) clear none 00:01 61 36 17 181 (S) clear none 01:01 61 35 17 182 (S) clear none 02:01 60 34 19 183 (S) clear none 03:01 59 34 16 193 (SSW) clear none 04:01 60 35 18 198 (SSW) clear none 05:01 59 32 20 202 (SSW) clear none 06:01 60 31 15 191 (S) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
