McMillan We had clear skies and variable seeing ranging from good to awful. Tonight included much toubleshooting and observations with NIC. Several problems were discovered and dealt with. The most significant one remaining is that the latest version(s) of TUI don't load any dither scripts when installed on Mac OSX. The telescope worked perfectly; the instrument didn't, but it was all a learning experience. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFNVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 67 33 8 84 (E) mstly clr none 17:01 67 35 7 46 (NE) mstly clr none 18:01 65 37 13 79 (ENE) clear none 19:01 61 38 15 85 (E) clear none 20:01 58 37 13 81 (E) clear none 21:01 57 41 18 74 (ENE) clear none 22:01 56 40 14 83 (E) clear none 23:01 55 40 16 80 (E) clear none 00:01 54 41 12 87 (E) clear none 01:01 54 39 14 130 (SE) clear none 02:01 56 36 4 157 (SSE) clear none 03:01 57 36 3 203 (SSW) clear none 04:01 58 37 2 243 (WSW) mstly clr none 05:01 56 37 5 235 (SW) mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
