Clouds thinned out around sunset, so we opened on time, but we were barely able to focus and then the clouds thickened. Since the observer got no science, I didn't count any of the time as usable. Second half we had a few sprinkles (which didn't trigger the rain sensor until several minutes after I closed the cloudcam), and more clouds. I did some planning for Saturday with the Apollo personnel and worked on catching up with error-checking night logs. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFNVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:46 DISslit 50(1303) 286 61 15.5/17.6 121 21 - 1.23 20:52 NA2gdr -1405(23694)287 59 15.4/17.4 118 20 ND2 0.92 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 60 50 13 146 (SE) 885 cloudy rain 17:01 61 51 11 159 (SSE) 745 cloudy none 18:01 65 48 12 172 (S) 464 mstly cldy none 19:01 63 50 17 149 (SSE) 793 mstly cldy none 20:01 61 47 22 135 (SE) 670 ptly cldy none 21:01 59 48 21 114 (ESE) 604 ptly cldy none 22:01 58 50 17 113 (ESE) 868 mstly cldy none 23:01 58 49 12 80 (E) 854 mstly cldy none 00:01 57 51 15 79 (ENE) 1089 cloudy none 01:01 57 46 14 80 (E) 722 cloudy lt rain 02:01 59 39 12 117 (ESE) 239 cloudy none 03:01 59 38 7 107 (ESE) 184 mstly cldy none 04:01 59 38 9 86 (E) 159 mstly cldy none 05:01 58 37 3 169 (SSE) 120 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
