There wasnt any difficulties obtaining an instrument block or to use the instrument on Jupiter. Things went by very smoothly regardless of evidence of a little windshake. The observers stopped a little early because Jupiter was getting rather low and we were not entirely certain how the instrument change would go. Things went much better than expected mounting the instrument safely to a cart and we were able to give a little extra time to the second half observer. Clouds continued to thicken second half until we gave up and closed at 0430. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFNVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:47 naic -250(1525) 123 68 14.7/16.2 253 16 6563 1.5 22:37 naic 1150(1709) 208 42 15.0/14.8 267 15 6000 0.77 00:41 dis-slit 75(1465) 214 74 14.2/14.4 247 20 - 0.97 00:49 NA2gdr -2227(22872) 220 73 14.3/14.1 249 19 R+nd2 0.74 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 69 13 26 245 (WSW) 476 mstly cldy cirrus 17:01 67 14 10 243 (WSW) 585 mstly cldy cirrus 18:01 62 9 15 263 (W) 548 mstly cldy cirrus 19:01 63 10 26 252 (WSW) 560 mstly cldy cirrus 20:01 59 10 12 263 (W) 530 mstly cldy cirrus 21:01 59 10 20 251 (WSW) 592 mstly cldy cirrus 22:01 59 9 18 268 (W) 464 mstly cldy cirrus 23:01 58 11 15 267 (W) 547 mstly cldy cirrus 00:01 58 12 23 248 (WSW) 466 mstly cldy cirrus 01:01 57 9 16 237 (WSW) 447 mstly cldy cirrus 02:01 56 11 15 268 (W) 524 mstly cldy none 03:01 55 15 11 264 (W) 553 mstly cldy none 04:01 54 16 13 266 (W) 643 mstly cldy none 05:01 53 17 9 316 (NW) 736 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
