The wind then swung around from near due south to southeast, and the seeing blew up to as high as about 3 arcseconds. It was also highly variable throughout the second half of the night. For a good time, check out the archived plot of seeing as measured by DIMM tonight on the APO web pages. And hold on to your hat. At 02:55, we switched DIS resolutions at Chris' request, but without the need for a physical grating change. We closed up toward 04:45 as twilight started getting bright outside. The night was quiet and trouble-free. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFNVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:48 DISslit -150(1359) 177 78 14.3/17.2 216 10 - 0.84 20:52 NA2gdr -2503(20496)181 78 14.4/17.1 212 11 R 0.66 22:10 DISslit -60(1355) 255 75 14.4/15.0 195 10 - 0.74 22:12 NA2gdr -2014(20985)256 75 14.2/15.0 194 9 R 0.63 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 71 28 17 227 (SW) 570 Clear none 17:01 67 23 17 242 (WSW) 643 Clear none 18:01 66 24 14 200 (SSW) 707 Clear none 19:01 63 24 17 236 (SW) 737 Clear none 20:01 59 22 8 223 (SW) 660 Clear none 21:01 58 19 10 224 (SW) 546 Clear none 22:01 58 19 12 208 (SSW) 521 Clear none 23:01 58 20 8 192 (SSW) 614 Clear none 00:01 58 17 6 189 (S) 520 Clear none 01:01 58 17 11 184 (S) 539 Clear none 02:01 54 30 12 176 (S) 792 Clear none 03:01 57 24 13 180 (S) 670 Clear none 04:01 53 34 15 163 (SSE) 1003 Clear none 05:01 52 46 16 178 (S) 1697 Clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
