We had light rain around 22:30 but it didn't last long. The clouds started to move out just a little before 01:00 and my observers took their cals starting at 01:00. I opened the enclosure at 01:30 and focused the telescope. Seeing wasn't the best at 1.8 arc sec, but considering we had a large storm just off to our east that had just move thru, the churned air wasn't all that unexpected. Seeing was variable all night long, depending on where we had the telescope pointed, between 1.2 and 2.5 arc sec. I tweaked focus off the guider during the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFNVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:44 DISslit -175(1122) 73 60 9.6/11.6 267 16 none 1.85 01:49 NA2gdr -877(22122) 71 61 9.6/11.5 263 15 R 1.45 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 64 23 16 264 (W) 739 Pt.
